Janata Sadat's Narsingdi spinning facility dispatched 4,800 metric tonnes of jute yarn across Q4 2023 — the highest quarterly export volume recorded in the plant's operating history — as new ring-frame capacity commissioned in September 2023 reached full utilisation ahead of schedule.

The record quarter was underpinned by strong demand from three key markets: India (1,640 MT, primarily hessian-grade yarn for sacking manufacture), China (1,280 MT, cable and speciality twist grades for paper and construction applications), and the European Union (980 MT, fine-count yarn for textile and apparel intermediaries). Remaining volumes were distributed across buyers in Turkey, Egypt, and Japan.

“Commissioning the new ring frames was the right decision at the right time. Global demand for traceable, natural-fibre yarn is growing faster than industry capacity. This record quarter is not a ceiling — it is a foundation.”
