HISTORY

Janata Jute Mills Ltd. was established in Palash, Narsingdi; which is approx. 50km to the north of Dhaka. It covers an area of 45 acres.

Mill No. 1 in Janata was set up. It presently produces approx. 9,150 metrics tons of cloth, bags and geo-textiles.

Mill No. 2 in Janata was set up. It presently produces approx. 3,400 metrics tons of yarns.

Sadat jute industries Ltd. was established at Debidwar, Cumilla, on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway; which is approx. 85km to the South- East to Dhaka. It covers an area of 17 acres.

Mill No. 1 in Sadat was set up. It presently produces approx. 4,300 metrics tons of yarns.

Mill No. 2 in Sadat was set up. It presently produces approx. 8,000 metrics tons of yarns.

Mill No. 3 in Janata was set up. It presently produces approx. 5,600 metrics tons of yarns.

Mill No. 4 in Janata was set up. It presently produces approx. 6,700 metrics tons of yarns.

Processed Fiber Unit was set-up. It’s production capacity is 2,500 metric tons of processed fibers for non-woven application in the automotive and furniture industries.

Mill No. 5 in Janata was set up. It presently produces approx. 4,850 metrics tons of special Hessian fabrics for the Linoleum industry & horticultural uses.

Mill No. 6 in Janata was set up. It presently produces 500 metrics tons of non-woven felt, using process waste.

Effluent Treatment Plant in Janata was set up. It has capacity to treat waste water of up to 20 meter cube/hour (equivalent to 10 m. tons per day of our dyeing process).

Ex. Partex Jute Mills, Dobra, Boalmari, Faridpur was acquired by Janata Jute Mills Ltd. It’s production
capacity of jute yarn/twine & Weaving are approx. 42,900 metric tons & 21,700 metric tons respectively.

Mill No. 3 in Janata was set up. It’s production capacity is 18,000 metric tons of jute yarn/ twine.
